XG COATING AFTER CARE
XG Coating , Tinting & PPF is designed to provide your car with the protection against the elements and to keep your vehicle looking consistently brand new. To maximize the effects of XG Coating & PPF, we recommend taking some basic maintenance steps to ensure your coating or PPF will last for years to come.
WASHING YOUR CAR
Coated Cars
XG Coating’s slick self-cleaning effects will dissolve and pull off the unwanted dirt easily. Minimizing harsh rubbing (especially with a dry towel) on the coating surface to ensure its longevity. Removing bird droppings, tree sap, and bugs with a PH balanced shampoo such as XG Wash is recommended. Follow it up by wiping it off with a soft edgeless microfiber towel.
PPF Cars
XG PPF surface is recommended to wash manually by hand to best protect the PPF quality for the long term. Avoid pointing the nozzle of high-pressure washer to the edge of the PPF during car wash. It may cause the edge of the film to rise. Recommended to keep the nozzle minimum 40 inches away from the PPF film.
WASHING
Washing Methods
• Soap down the car with the use of a foam gun or a microfiber washing mitt.
• With a pressure washer or hose, rinse the car accordingly.
• Dry the car using a clean microfiber towel
It is recommended to always use microfiber towels to dry your car as leaving it to naturally dry under the air may cause unwanted water spots. Keep in mind to gently wipe the car dry with the microfiber towel without using excessive force.
It is recommended to only go to a touch free automated car wash. Automated car washes with harsh brushes could possibly cause scratches and dulls the coating or PPF. XG Coatings or PPF will take up to 1 whole week to completely harden or heal. Please be careful and do not wash your vehicle for the first week
All leather and vinyl surfaces are recommended to be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis using a leather protectant to repel any contam nants from building up and to replenish the natural oils. Carpets should be vacuumed often and use carpet and fabric cleaners when needed.
